Amazon Shipping Tracking
Amazon Shipping tracking lets you follow packages delivered through Amazon’s own delivery network (also called Amazon Logistics, or AMZL). If your order says “Shipped with Amazon” or your tracking number starts with TBA, Amazon’s drivers are handling it — not USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Tracking usually appears once the first scan happens, and the most detailed updates show inside your Amazon account or on the Amazon Shipping tracking page. Amazon delivers late into the evening, so a package that’s “out for delivery” can still arrive well after dark.

Enter your Amazon Logistics tracking number to check delivery progress and jump straight to the carrier's official tracking page.
How to Track an Amazon Shipping Package
- Copy the tracking number from the store or your Amazon order page. Amazon Logistics numbers usually start with TBA followed by 12 or more digits.
- Enter it above, or open the official Amazon Shipping tracking page.
- Check the current delivery status and estimated delivery date — Amazon often shows a live map on delivery day.
- Look for a proof of delivery photo or location note if the package is marked delivered.
- Contact the store or Amazon support if the package is missing or the number won’t load (see tracking number not working).
For Amazon orders, tracking inside Your Orders is usually the most detailed source, because Amazon Logistics data isn’t always mirrored on other tracking sites. You can also follow it from your Amazon order tracking page.
Amazon Shipping Delivery Windows
Amazon Logistics delivers seven days a week, including Sundays and most holidays, typically between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. local time. How fast it arrives depends on the option chosen at checkout:
- Same-Day / Prime Now: ordered before the local cut-off in eligible areas, delivered the same day.
- One-Day (Prime): next-day on eligible items.
- Two-Day (Prime): the standard Prime window.
- Standard (non-Prime): usually 3–5 business days.
Because drivers work late, a package is not really “late” until after that 10 p.m. window closes.
Amazon Shipping Tracking Statuses Explained
- Shipping soon / Preparing for dispatch: your order is being picked and packed; the number may not scan yet.
- Shipped / On the way: it’s left the fulfilment centre for your local delivery station.
- Arriving today / Out for delivery: it’s on a van — expect it by 10 p.m.
- Delivered — handed to resident: given directly to someone at the address.
- Delivered — left in a safe place: Amazon usually saves a Photo on Delivery showing where.
- Delivery attempted: the driver couldn’t complete delivery; Amazon normally retries the next day.
Why Amazon Shipping Tracking Is Not Updating
Tracking may not appear until the first scan, and updates can pause while the package waits for pickup, moves between facilities, is delayed by high route volume, or is waiting for delivery proof. A missing scan for a day or two is normal. If it’s been longer and the estimated date has passed, see our guides on Amazon tracking not updating and the general tracking not updating case.
What to Do If Amazon Shipping Says Delivered
A “delivered” scan with nothing in hand usually resolves quickly — Amazon sometimes marks parcels delivered a little early:
- Check the delivery photo or location note in Your Orders.
- Check the front door, garage, mailroom, parcel locker, reception, and with neighbours.
- Wait up to 36 hours — it may arrive the next day.
- Read Amazon Delivered But Not Received for the full checklist.
- Contact the store or Amazon support if you still can’t find it — Amazon typically refunds or replaces under the A-to-z Guarantee.
Amazon Package Delayed?
Weather, high volume (Prime Day, holidays), or a missed connection can push delivery back a day. Amazon usually updates the estimated delivery date when this happens — the new date is the reliable one. Our guide on an Amazon package delayed explains when a delay is normal and when to ask for help, and where is my package covers the next steps if it’s still missing.
How to Contact Amazon About a Delivery
Amazon Logistics has no public tracking phone line — deliveries are handled through your Amazon account:
- Online: Your Orders → Problem with order → Get help starts a chat or callback about that specific parcel.
- Amazon Customer Service: US 1-888-280-4331; UK 0800 279 7234.
- A-to-z Guarantee: for items not received or not as described, file a claim from the order page.

Amazon Shipping Tracking FAQs
What does a TBA tracking number mean?
A number starting with “TBA” is an Amazon Logistics (Amazon Shipping) parcel — delivered by Amazon’s own drivers, not USPS, UPS, or FedEx. Track it inside your Amazon account for the most detail.
Does Amazon deliver on Sundays?
Yes. Amazon Logistics delivers seven days a week, including Sundays and most holidays, usually between 8 a.m. and 10 p.m.
Why can’t I track my TBA number elsewhere?
Amazon Logistics data is often only fully available inside Amazon’s own system, so third-party trackers may show little. Use Your Orders → Track package.
My Amazon package is late — when should I worry?
Wait until the end of the estimated delivery date, since deliveries run to 10 p.m. If it passes with no delivery, contact Amazon; you’re well within the window for a replacement or refund.
