DX Tracking Not Updating

DX tracking not updating can happen when the delivery reference is new, the parcel hasn’t reached the next scan, or you’re using the wrong DX reference type. DX uses more reference types than most couriers, so the fix is often just trying a different one. Here’s how to check.

Why Is DX Tracking Not Updating?

DX tracking may use a tracking number, calling card number, consignment number, or customer reference. If one reference doesn’t work, check your dispatch email, card, or seller account for another DX reference. A common cause is entering a customer/order reference when the tracking page needs the DX consignment or calling card number.

Common DX tracking issues

  • The sender hasn’t handed the item to DX yet.
  • The reference is new and has no first scan.
  • You entered a customer reference instead of a tracking number.
  • You need the calling card number after a missed delivery.
  • The parcel is moving between depots before the next update.
  • The tracking page hasn’t refreshed yet.

How Long Is a Normal Gap?

DX largely runs a next-day network, so once an item is scanned in it usually moves quickly. Give a new order about 24 hours after dispatch for the first scan. For larger or two-person items, allow extra time for a delivery to be booked — you may see a slot or booking message before movement scans. Longer silence after the expected date is worth checking; see tracking not updating.

What to Do Next

  1. Try the tracking number, calling card number, consignment number, or customer reference.
  2. Check the dispatch email from the retailer or sender.
  3. Open the DX Delivery Tracking page for DX-specific help.
  4. Contact the sender if DX has no first scan.
  5. Use the calling card details if DX attempted delivery.

When Should You Worry?

A short pause is normal. It’s more concerning when the delivery date passes with no movement, or the latest update shows a delivery attempt that you can’t resolve with the calling card. If it’s simply overdue, where is my package covers the next steps; if it shows delivered but you can’t find it, see DX delivered but not received.

DX Tracking Not Updating FAQs

Can I track DX with a calling card number?

DX tracking can use different reference types. Try the calling card number if you received one after a missed delivery.

Should I contact DX or the sender?

Contact the sender if DX has no first scan. Contact DX if tracking shows the parcel entered the DX network and now needs action.

Why does one DX reference work but another doesn’t?

Different DX services and stages use different references. If the order reference fails, try the consignment or calling card number from your card or dispatch email.
