XDP Tracking

XDP tracking helps you check the status of an XDP parcel using a consignment number and delivery postcode. XDP (XDP Express) is a UK courier that specialises in larger, heavier, and non-standard items — think furniture, homeware, and bulky retail orders — which is why its tracking is tied to your postcode. Use this page to understand XDP depot updates, delivery scans, failed delivery attempts, postcode issues, and parcels that are delayed or missing.

How XDP Tracking Works

XDP tracking uses your consignment number and delivery or collection postcode — you’ll usually need both. The tracking page shows parcel movement through the XDP network, depot activity, route progress, and delivery status. Because XDP handles a lot of larger items, some deliveries are booked to a day rather than a live route, so watch for a delivery-date message too.

Where to find your XDP consignment number

  • Retailer dispatch email
  • Delivery text or email notification
  • Order page from the seller
  • Consignment details from the sender
  • XDP delivery card or message

Why XDP Tracking Is Not Updating

XDP tracking may pause when the parcel waits at a depot, moves between locations, hasn’t received a route scan, or uses a postcode that doesn’t match the delivery details. The postcode mismatch is the single most common cause. For the full breakdown, see our guide on XDP tracking not updating.

Postcode tip

If your postcode fails, check the order address. Large-item retailers sometimes use a different delivery postcode, warehouse reference, or collection postcode — use the one tied to the delivery, not your billing address.

XDP Delivered But Not Received

If XDP says delivered but you can’t find the parcel, check the delivery proof, safe place, building entrance, neighbours, reception, and any large-item delivery location around your property (garage, outbuilding, side gate). Our guide on XDP delivered but not received has the full steps.

For larger-item deliveries you may also come across ArrowXL (two-person home delivery) or DX. For standard parcels, see DPD, Evri, or Royal Mail.

XDP Tracking FAQs

Why does XDP need my postcode?

XDP uses the delivery or collection postcode to confirm the consignment and show the correct tracking details.

Where do I get my XDP consignment number?

The company sending your item should provide the consignment number in the dispatch email or order details.

Who should I contact if XDP tracking fails?

Contact the sender first if the consignment number doesn’t work or the parcel has no first scan.
